monkey fingers (optional 1 monkey band)
step
1
To start, make a side part and brush hair
over to the side. (If the part were to continue
down your face it would meet the middle
of your eye).
step 2
From the part line, make three more parts
and section off the hair. Secure the sections
out of your way with monkey fingers until
ready to style. Hint: Keep the sections
small so monkey band can swing around more
times and one claw will be able to secure
the ends).
step
3
Take the first section and pull tightly
together in the middle of the section of
hair and begin twisting. Hold tightly at
the end.
step
4
With your other hand secure one monkey claw
at the base (preferably at the back of the
section to hide from view). Then swing the
monkey claw around your strand with equal
spaces as many times as possible.
step
5
At the top, lay hair against head and secure
with the other monkey claw. Continue this
procedure on each section. When all sections
are secured, play with the hair and tousle
the ends that are sticking out. If you really
want it to stick up like the picture take
a monkey band and secure all the sections
together in a ponytail on top. You could
also use another monkey finger, but the
band is more inconspicuous.
